Where are some primitive camping sites close to Acadia National park in maine? Islands? - acadia camping

I am planning a trip of two days of camping near Acadia National Park. But I do not see many people, and we want to go canoeing.

The Surf Camp
Is there a better way to take advantage of all that Acadia has to offer camping, but hiking is prohibited. The two main storage sites are much more spartan in mobile homes, no hot water, showers, or utility connections. Blackwood's Camp is located in a wooded area south of the Cadillac Mountain and is within walking distance from the sea Dam Campsite is located at the southwest corner of the park and also lives up to its name, with locations close to the ocean. If you take your canoe or kayak, did try to Duck Harbor Campground on Isle Au Haut and spend their days exploring the coasts of many islands of Acadia. Book early, as these pages will begin in the spring.

I think you should take the ferry toplace after the island, but only you can camp.

The closest to what you are looking for Duck Harbor Campground, part of Acadia to the Isle au Haut. But it would be foolish to try and would get in a canoe, I think.
